The World Has Lost Its Mind About Israel—and I’m Done Being Silent
I stand with Israel
By Brandon Tatum
I’m fed up with the tidal wave of antisemitism that’s swept across the globe in recent years. From celebrities to social media influencers—even voices on both sides of the political aisle—it’s like they’ve been bitten by the same antisemit bug. But it’s more than just being “bitten.” They’ve been devoured, like mosquitoes do you in the deep South.
And I’m not talking about a disagreement over foreign policy—I’m talking about full-on hate. Blind hatred. But not all of it is blind. Some of it is deliberate. It’s spiritual. That’s the only way I can explain the mass delusion and willful ignorance I’ve seen.
We’ve watched people completely abandon facts, context, and common sense to prop up lies and justify evil. I honestly haven’t seen anything this deranged and dishonest since the radical race-hustlers who push the narrative that America is irredeemably racist. The level of gaslighting feels eerily similar.
Let Me Spell It Out for the “Confused”
Yes, I’m talking about the Israel vs. Gaza conflict.
Let me ask you this: How is it that people still can’t tell the difference between a democratic, sovereign nation and a literal terrorist organization? How is it hard to understand that Israel—home of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), one of the most ethical militaries in the world—is not morally equivalent to Hamas, a designated terror group whose charter literally calls for the destruction of Jews?
To equate the two is madness.
Have We Forgotten October 7th?
Did y’all forget what happened?
On October 7, 2023, Hamas launched a barbaric surprise attack on Israel, killing more than 1,200 people—many of them women, children, and elderly civilians. They raped, tortured, burned people alive, mutilated bodies, and took over 250 hostages, including babies. It was the deadliest day for Jews since the Holocaust. And somehow, we’re debating whether Israel is the “bad guy”? Are you serious?
For comparison: If you scale the October 7th death toll to the U.S. population, it would be the equivalent of over 40,000 Americans dying in a single day, and thousands more being kidnapped.
What would we do if that happened here?
Let’s not pretend we’d light candles and post hashtags. We waged a 20+ year war after 9/11—an attack that killed 2,977 Americans. In response, the U.S. invaded two countries, dropped over 26,000 bombs in a single year (2016), and killed hundreds of thousands, many of whom were civilians. And yet, we have the nerve to criticize Israel for defending itself after a proportional 10X 9/11?
Give me a break. We would’ve turned Gaza into a parking lot. And frankly, America has dropped atomic bombs for less.
Hamas Never Wanted a “War”
Let’s be clear—Hamas never expected to win a military war against Israel.
Their plan wasn’t to conquer territory. Their plan was to commit atrocities, take hostages, and then cry foul when Israel responded. They wanted casualties—especially among their own civilians—so they could turn world opinion against Israel. It’s textbook terrorism. Use human shields. Film destruction. Blame Israel.
And it’s working. People are falling for it like blind sheep.
The Propaganda Machine
I can’t even count how many staged videos I’ve seen on social media. Cameras perfectly positioned to capture airstrikes, “victims” being carried into hospitals like it’s a movie set, and footage of “starving children” being debunked days later. Just recently, we found out Gaza influencers were recycling photos of cancer patients and passing them off as victims of starvation. One viral clip showed a woman claiming her children were starving, while she looked full as a tick herself.
Yes, innocent people have died in Gaza. And yes, food shortages exist. But whose fault is that? Not Israel’s.
It’s Hamas—the same regime that’s stolen billions in international aid to build over 300 miles of underground terror tunnels, while leaving their people in poverty. Hamas leaders live in luxury in Qatar while their citizens suffer. They create the suffering, then weaponize it for propaganda.
Let’s Talk Numbers
Hamas has received over $2 billion in aid over the years. Where did it go? Not to hospitals. Not to schools. It went to rockets and tunnels.
Israel conducts airstrike warnings (roof knocks, text alerts) and creates humanitarian corridors—unprecedented in modern warfare.
The IDF has a civilian-to-combatant kill ratio of approximately 1:1.5, better than that of NATO operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Over 75% of Gaza’s population is under Hamas rule, and Israel still supplies much of their electricity, food, and water, even during conflict.
You don’t have to be a fan of Israeli policy to recognize this reality. This is about truth, not tribalism.
I’m Not Israeli—But I’m Not Blind
I’m not Jewish. I’m not Israeli. But I am a Christian, and as a Christian, I honor the people through whom God delivered His word. I don’t have to agree with their theology to respect their role in the divine story. That’s Biblical. And yes—I’ll write a whole other piece on the scriptural side of Israel’s place in prophecy, because it matters. But for now, I’m here to speak truth plainly:
Israel is doing exactly what any sane nation would do—and they have every right to defend themselves.
You don’t have to like it. But I’m not backing down.
Final Thought: You’re Not “Anti-Zionist”—You’re Just a Coward
Let’s stop with the semantics. Hiding behind the label of “anti-Zionism” doesn’t absolve you of antisemitism. When your hatred of the Jewish state outweighs your concern for terrorism, you’ve lost the plot. When you find yourself defending rapists, hostage-takers, and literal baby killers just because you don’t like Netanyahu, you’ve gone off the rails.
Call it what it is: evil.
I’m sick of the lies. Sick of the cowardice. And sick of people being afraid to say the obvious.
I stand with Israel. Unapologetically.
History will remember which side you stood on. And I’d rather be hated for standing with the truth than praised for justifying wickedness.

Thank you for this! I'm admittedly very poorly versed on what's going on over there. I know Hamas is awful, but this was informative and supported what my gut has been telling me all along.
Truth 🙌🏼
